New Chatbot Named "Bard"

Google has introduced a new chatbot named “Bard” to compete with the highly successful ChatGPT, created by AI research company OpenAI. The CEO of Google and Alphabet, Sundar Pichai, stated in a blog post that Bard will be made available to “trusted testers” starting this week, with plans to release it to the public in the near future. Bard, like ChatGPT, is based on a large language model, which is trained on vast amounts of online data in order to generate engaging responses to user queries.


Google Declared Code Red

Google's announcement comes at a time when the company's core product, online search, is facing its biggest threat in years. Bard Uses Google LaMDA

Google's technology behind Bard has been around for some time and is known as Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA). LaMDA gained notoriety last year when former Google engineer Blake Lemoine claimed the chatbot was "sentient," but these claims were widely criticized in the AI community.


Bard Will Simplify Results from Google Search

Bard can be used to plan a friend's baby shower, compare two Oscar-nominated movies, or suggest lunch ideas based on what's in your fridge, according to Google's post. Pichai also stated that AI-powered features will soon be added to Google's flagship Search tool. He stated that these AI-powered features will simplify complex information and multiple perspectives into easy-to-understand formats, allowing users to quickly understand the big picture and learn more from the web.
